Joined into “New Sports EXPO in Tama 2015”

On March 14^th(Sat.), JAFL joined into “New Sports EXPO in Tama 2015” held at Showa memorial Park in Tokyo. Visitors could experience Australian Football.

Some shows of talented character “Yokai watch” and talk show by comedians was held on the stage and there were 29 kinds of sports association’s booths on the ground while there were many food/drink car and some animals came from Fuji safari park.

Australian Football League Japan offered participants goal-kick experience and they enjoyed the experience - kicking the elliptic ball.

The content was very simple that participant throws the ball by hand pass with the rhythm “one, two”, runs and then kick it to the goal, but our booth got excited. Some kids tried it again and again.

Also, Mr. Verdy, who is a main character of the soccer team in Tokyo, “Tokyo Verdy”, tried Australian football! He failed the hand pass because he hit the ball by his long beak. However, he got it on the second time! He ran through and got a beautiful goal! In fact, he runs fast…
