３月２７日（金）、横浜カントリー＆アスレチッククラブにて、キッズクラブの春休みイベントを行いました。今回はオーストラリアでもアスリートの栄養補助食品として人気の高い「ミューズリー・バー」を作る企画です。



作り方の説明を聞き、グループに分かれてクッキングスタート！焦げないように交代で混ぜながらマシュマロをフライパンで溶かして、ミューズリーを入れます。



さらによく混ぜて、フライパンから出した後、好きなように成形します。「バー」なので棒状のものを想像していましたが、団子のようにきれいな丸いものを作った子もいました。仕上げにチョコペンでお絵かきをしました！

 

クッキングの後は、グラウンドでフットボール体験です。初めてオーストラリアンフットボールをプレーする子も、普段キッズチームでプレーしている子も、コーチの説明を聞きながら上手にプレーすることができました。



ボールをコーンに近づけるようにキックするチャレンジゲームはとても盛り上がりました！



３チームに分かれて行った試合も好プレー続出！一生懸命パスをつなぎながらゴールを目指していました。




最後は良く頑張った子の表彰を行い、記念品を渡してイベントは終了となりました。

On March 14^th (Sat.), JAFL joined into “New Sports EXPO in Tama 2015” held at Showa memorial Park in Tokyo. Visitors could experience Australian Football.
 
Some shows of talented character “Yokai watch” and talk show by comedians was held on the stage and there were 29 kinds of sports association’s booths on the ground while there were many food/drink car and some animals came from Fuji safari park.
 
Australian Football League Japan offered participants goal-kick experience and they enjoyed the experience - kicking the elliptic ball.



The content was very simple that participant throws the ball by hand pass with the rhythm “one, two”, runs and then kick it to the goal, but our booth got excited. Some kids tried it again and again.
 
Also, Mr. Verdy, who is a main character of the soccer team in Tokyo, “Tokyo Verdy”, tried Australian football! He failed the hand pass because he hit the ball by his long beak. However, he got it on the second time! He ran through and got a beautiful goal! In fact, he runs fast…

Australian Football League Japan will hold the event “Making Muesli bar & Experience of Australian Football” on March 27^th (Fri.), in Spring Vacation for students at Yokohama Country & Athletic Club.


 
Making “Muesli bar”, which is focused on dietary supplement of sports players because of highly nutrition and portability, gives attendants experience of importance of food and relations between sports and nutrition. We will do tasting of muesli bar after Australian football experience. This event aims to have experience sports and Australian food.
 
Also, attendants are able to get some souvenirs from JAFL and Carman’s, who supports this event, such as a muesli bar trial puck and stickers.

Time: 2:15pm ~ 4:30pm (Reception starts 2pm)

Eligible: Elementary school students (kindergartener of their sister/brother are accceptable)
Price: \1,500/person (free for gardians)
Essentials: towels, water bottle and clothes (Please come with comfortable clothes.)

３月２日（月）、横浜市保土ヶ谷区にある新井中学校にてオーストラリアンフットボールの体験教室を実施しました。

卒業を間近に控えた中学３年生を対象に行われた「夢応援プログラム」という企画は、様々な分野の社会人の方が自分たちのプログラムを生徒の皆さんに体験してもらうという企画です。



今回はその企画の中にオーストラリアンフットボールも取り入れていただきました。この日実施されたプログラムは７つ。それぞれ９０分間の体験でした。

オーストラリアンフットボール体験は校庭で行い、オーストラリアンフットボールを体験することの他に「挑戦する」ことも目標に掲げました。

基本的なプレーを練習した後は、チームに分かれて競争したり、チームで協力してプレーしたり、チームを何度も変えてそれぞれのゲームを楽しみました。途中、生徒からプレーに関する質問もあり、関連する「バウンシング」というプレーの練習も行いました。



あっと言う間の９０分間で、最後の試合は大変白熱したものになりました。卒業する中学３年生に少しでもいい思い出ができればという思いでプログラムを行いましたが、一生懸命に「挑戦」したことが生徒の皆さんの今後の自信につながると嬉しく思います。

他の方のプログラムで、記者体験をしているグループが練習の様子を取材に来てくれました。


また、取材を行った上で発行された号外もいただきました！、
